Frequently asked questions
Who's behind The Curb Fund?
A small group of people who care a lot about cities. We follow this stuff closely - transit, housing, walkability, how our neighborhoods actually get built - and we know which organizations are moving the needle. The Curb Fund is our way of making it easy for other people to back that work without having to research it themselves: we pick a handful of strong groups, pool your donations, and pass every dollar through.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
Yes. Every donation is processed by Every.org, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and is tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. You'll receive a receipt by email the moment your gift clears.
Can I choose which org gets my money?
Not through the pooled donation — the whole point is that we allocate across the full slate on your behalf, and we publish every allocation. If you'd rather give to a single organization, each one's page has a “Donate directly” link to its own Every.org profile.
What's your fee?
Zero. The Curb Fund takes no salary and no cut. The only deduction is Every.org's standard payment-processing fee; every remaining dollar is disbursed to the organizations. See our Transparency page for the full breakdown.
How do I cancel a monthly donation?
Recurring gifts are managed by Every.org, not us. Log in to your Every.org account, open your recurring donations, and cancel in a click — no email to anyone required.
What if an org loses your confidence?
Our slate isn't permanent. If an organization's finances, leadership, or impact deteriorate, we remove it at the next review and redirect its share to the others — and we explain the change in our transparency report.
